Elizabeth A. Flatley

Associate 

Elizabeth A. Flatley is a senior associate with Poliquin & DeGrave. She has been in practice for more than 20 years. Prior to joining Poliquin & DeGrave she spent 16 years with the Orange County office of a large insurance defense firm with offices throughout the State of California. Prior to that, she worked for another Southern California insurance defense firm.

Ms. Flatley earned her law degree at Western State University, College of law. She made Law Review and served a term as comments editor. While attending law school, Ms. Flatley worked as an independent investigator/adjustor.

The primary focus of Ms. Flatley’s practice has been professional liability, including the defense of dentists, physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals. She has also handled matters involving premises liability, homeowner liability, automobile accident, and elder neglect, as well as mass tort litigation. From December of 2005 through October of 2006 Ms. Flatley was appointed to serve as the Healthcare Provider Liaison Counsel in the Diet Drug (Fen- Phen) litigation. Ms. Flatley has successfully taken many cases to trial and arbitration.

Ms. Flatley is a member of the State Bar of California, the Orange County Bar Association (Business & Corporate Law Section), the Southern California Association of Healthcare Risk Managers and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Central District of California and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She joined Poliquin & DeGrave in October of 2006.
